ALLEYWAYS
This photo above was one of the many nooks and crannies hidden around the village that led to a different road or home. I found this to be very eye opening because houses and streets that lead to these places are so rare where we live in the city. The interview on the right also talks a lot about the community within this village and how tight knit and well connected they are with each other. Most of the villagers have known each other for a long period of time whereas half of us don't even know our neighbours at all. Even though we all live in the same city, I feel that the villagers and the other citizens in Hong Kong have a very different cultural view of our city which is what I have been trying to explore through this photographic series.
